About Me

I’m Devin and This is My Story

My wife, Katie, and I got married in 2018. We knew that we wanted to start having kids sooner than later, and we wanted them to be close in age.

We had no idea what we were getting into. A year after we were married, our first boy was born.

13 months later, our little girl joins us. 18 months after that, and we’ve got 3 under 3 with our 2nd boy.

We LOVE our kids, and we’re very excited for our little girl coming in 2024.

Being a parent isn’t always fun though. There are challenges. We question ourselves a lot. We try our best, but you can’t be perfect.

Fathers are more involved with their kids than ever before. Back in the day, you wouldn’t catch Dad changing a diaper or getting the kids ready to go to the park.

The family dynamic is changing for the better, but… Dads… We have a lot of catching up to do.

I don’t have a prestigious background. It feels like all of the parents online are experts that found the magical Parentology degree.

I’m not a PHD in anything. I’m not a philosopher, psychologist, or doctor with years of experience with families and children.

I’m Dad. And I know that I love my kids. I want what is best for them.

I just want to be a relatable resource for other fathers and mothers. You don’t need all them fancy degrees to be a good parent.

They say there’s no guide to parenting… That’s just not true. The guide is the people around you. Learn from others’ successes and failures.

So that’s what I’m gonna do. Lay out my successes and failures as a Dad.
